2006 Solena Pinot Noir

My Wine Words: What do you think?

  1. Absolutely, Josh! We LOVE Washington wine! With each bottle we fall deeper & deeper in love with it.

  2. Hi there, boys & girls. Today, Peter & I are pleased to share our thoughts on a couple of wines from Desert Wind Winery. Cheers!

  3. Nice, Joe! Enjoy it! :)

  4. It's so very interesting when you smell they way something tastes or taste the way something smells. It's a fusion of seneses...

  5. Good stuff - I have yet to have a bottle of Desert Wine I like - but it's been a couple of years - so it's good to know they're making some decent stuff now.. :)

  6. Glad to see some Washington Wine making it over to you! I've enjoyed the Viognier, Sauv Blanc and Semillon from Dessert Wind.

    Cheers!

  7. nice job! sounds like a great wine. I have to say that i have never tasted hot tar! interesting descriptor.

  8. I love watching your videos. You two are like a fine wine and dinner, you pair very well together. I can always count on you to provide great background info and commentary about wines (or Wineries) that I might not otherwise hear about. Keep up the awesome work!

    WineDudeOnline.

  9. Peter, called like I was going to. I always think Zinfandel from Seghesio (one of my favorites).

Four barrels, you mean I can never get this wine! Thanks for getting my hopes up guys. ;)

    Josh

  10. Wow, very descriptive on the nose and palate. Very nature driven wine. You really didn't describe a wine I would love but once you said it was 'magical' I was very intrigued.

    Cheers!

  11. Speedy Creek Vineyard Cab and Zin?! I'll take you up on your recommendation! Peter & I definitely need to try them! And I agree, Stryker is INDEED a gem. Cheers!

  12. Nice job and you've hit on a real gem in Sonoma County. Stryker not only makes excellent Cabs, but their Zinfandels, blends, and yes Melots are very good. Try their Speedy Creek Vineyard Cab and Zin. Delish!

  13. great video, great memories. Don't forget Stryker cab also won the recent Napa vs Sonoma Cab Sibling Rivalry blind tasting too. Hurry back! :)

  14. Peter & I are proud to present the 1994 Chateau Leoville Barton. Do we love Bordeaux? Oh yes, we do!

  15. Wow Peter reminds me of popeye and is almost a falling asleep in this episode. What an interesting pairing the two of you make on video!

  16. I like to refer to Peter as "relaxed". (grin) You know what they say... Opposites attract. Cheers! :)

  17. We'll be back soon, William! Can't wait to sip some more! Cheers!

  18. No worries, Josh. I think thre's a bottle or two of this one still available. We bought a fair amount, but I don't think we bought all of it. (grin) Cheers, Josh!

  19. Nice, Brian! Enjoy! Let us know what you get on the palate - in your words. (grin) Cheers!

  20. Love it guys! I'm going to try another bottle and look for the descriptors you mention, I love the "Tea' and "Asphalt" Goin to open a bottle tonite with dinner!

  21. Merci beaucoup! Thanks, Des. Hope all is well in London! Cheers!

  22. Very cool guys! :)

  23. My pleasure, Josh! You know we love to hear from you!

  24. Yay, Alli brought back my favorite feature! Thanks!

  25. Yeah. I would DEFINITELY recommend this wine. (grin)

  26. I'm excited. Have a 2005 Leoville-Barton (just one) I'm hanging onto for a while. Hoping to find some naughty earth in there.
